Reflective Decal Cut Options

Die-Cut

When we say we are die-cutting, we mean that we are slicing both the vinyl decal material and the paper backing. This type of cut removes all surrounding material from the decal. Consider it from a different perspective by comparing it to a "cookie cutter." You have individually cut decals without any paper material surrounding the design because each one is cut out to the contour of your design.

 

 

Kiss-Cut

Kiss-cut refers to the process where we only cut through the vinyl layer (the "decal material") and not the paper backing, leaving a border of paper material around your decal. A kiss-cut decal will have extra material around it for simple peeling if you choose that option.

 

 

Transfer-Cut

 

Using the transfer cut option, we will cut the reflective vinyl decal material to the desired form, image, or text and then "pick" or remove any extra or undesired vinyl material from your design so that your decal has no vinyl backing. The final step is to cover the leftover vinyl with a transfer tape. After you take off the paper backing from your decal, this tape is what will keep all the separate cut elements of your decal design together. Also, it enables you to neatly and evenly apply numerous separate pieces of vinyl decal material to the specified surface.

Transfer Cut / Pick Charge

Transfer cut price includes 6 standard picks with a maximum of 25 picks per sq. foot.

 

Additional picks are $0.04 per pick depending on difficulty/intricacy.

 

Intricately cut decals will be custom quoted based on difficulty and time required to pick.

All reflective decals must be paid for prior to being put into production.

Credit Cards

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards. Your custom decal order will not be put into production until your credit card is approved.

Checks

We also accept checks. We must receive yoru check before your order will be put into production. Please contact a customer service representative for more information about check payments.

Please note that we do have a minimum order of $30.00 if you are choosing to pay with a check.

We provide flexible production time ranges for you to choose from. Because it's important for you to have ultimate control over your order, our production times range from one to five business days. This allows you to make the final decision on when you need your order.

1 Business Day Priority:

Artwork Specification

Files that print best are:

File Tips

• Set up size proportionate to exact size product as your order. 
• All decal files require a minimum of 1/16" bleed. 
• Convert all text to outlines.
• Make sure no elements are selected for "Overprint"
• *We recommend choosing rich black (100-100-100-100) over CMYK (0-0-0-100). Rich black is true black — it has a less charcoal gray appearance *
• The cut line should be indicated with a vector path/line.
• * PSD file(s) layers should not be flattened or merged.

We print in four color CMYK or six color CMYKLcLm. Please keep this in mind when submitting files for printing as color tone shifting may happen if file is submitted in RGB format. If there is a specific PMS color you need, please specify that to us when submitting your order so we can help you verify that the proper color mix is used (vector artwork only).

Customer supplied files are printed as they are received so we cannot guarantee color, clarity or final output as we are just printing the supplied files and have not set them up for printing.

If you are concerned about the file output we will be happy to do a test print for a nominal fee prior to final order if requested.

All of our printers are calibrated daily to International Color Consortium (ICC) coloring profile standards to ensure accurate color production.
